Polyester Fiber Acoustic Panel, or Polyester Fiber Absorption Panel, is a material with sound-absorbing functionality made from polyester fibers through a process of hot pressing. It is commonly utilized in engineering noise reduction applications, such as mitigating noise in automotive engines and industrial motor seals. It proves particularly effective in alleviating high-frequency and high-decibel noise.
Characteristics of Polyester Fiber Acoustic Panels
- Acoustic Performance: Similar to other porous materials, the absorption coefficient of polyester fiber acoustic panels increases with the frequency. The high-frequency absorption coefficient is significant, and the back cavity and the formed spatial absorption body significantly enhance the absorption performance. The noise reduction coefficient is generally between 0.8 to 1.10, making it an efficient broadband sound absorber.
- Physical Mechanical Properties: Possesses sound absorption, thermal insulation, and heat preservation characteristics. The material is uniformly solid, exhibiting elasticity, toughness, wear resistance, impact resistance, tear resistance, and is not easily scratched. The panel size is large (9×1220×2440 mm).
- Product Diversity: Available in over 40 colors, the panels can be assembled into various patterns. Surface shapes include flat, square (mosaic-like), wide strips, and narrow strips. The panels can be bent into curved shapes, allowing for flexible and creative interior design.
- Fire Resistance: Tested by the National Fire Protection Center, the panels demonstrate good fire resistance, meeting the national standard GB8624B1 requirements.
- Safety: Outstanding mechanical properties, lightweight, and no generation of fragments or chunks upon impact. Regarding harmful substance release, it complies with national standards, with formaldehyde release levels below the required standards, meeting the national standard GB18580-2001E1 requirements for use in areas where people operate.
- Ease of Cleaning: Easy to dust and maintain. Dust and impurities can be lightly removed with a vacuum cleaner or duster. For dirtier areas, a towel with water and detergent can be used for cleaning.
