Radiator Accessories – H Valve

In a radiator system, the H – valve usually refers to a key component used to connect the radiator pipes. It resembles the letter “H” in appearance and is generally made of metal materials such as brass, which has good corrosion resistance and pressure – bearing capacity. Its working principle is based on the regulation of the hot water flow rate. By controlling the amount of hot water flowing through the radiator, the indoor temperature can be regulated.

Functional Features:

  • Flow Rate Adjustment: By rotating the adjustment knob of the H valve, the flow rate of hot water entering the radiator can be precisely controlled. When the indoor temperature is too high, close the valve slightly to reduce the hot water flow rate and lower the heat dissipation; conversely, when the temperature is too low, open the valve wider to increase the hot water flow rate and raise the indoor temperature.
  • System Pressure Balancing: In a heating system, the pressure distribution among various radiators needs to be kept balanced to ensure the uniform distribution of hot water. The H – valve can automatically fine – tune its opening degree according to the changes in system pressure, balancing the pressure among different radiators and avoiding the situation where some radiators are overheated while others are not heated enough.
  • Easy Maintenance: The H valve has a relatively simple structure. When a radiator malfunctions or needs maintenance, the H valve can be closed to cut off the connection between the radiator and the system. This enables maintenance personnel to conduct inspections and repairs safely and conveniently without affecting the normal operation of other radiators.
Application Scenarios: It is widely used in the heating systems of various civil and industrial buildings, such as residential buildings, office buildings, factory workshops, etc. Whether it is a traditional cast – iron radiator or a new – type steel or copper – aluminum composite radiator, the H – valve can be adapted to achieve effective temperature regulation and system control.
