Characteristics:
High Dimensional Accuracy: Due to its relatively refined manufacturing process, longitudinally welded steel pipes can achieve relatively high accuracy in terms of pipe diameter, wall thickness and length. This enables them to perform excellently in some occasions where strict requirements for pipeline dimensional accuracy are imposed, such as gas transmission pipelines for precision instruments and small-diameter pipelines in chemical plants.
Good Welding Quality: Especially for longitudinally welded steel pipes produced by advanced welding techniques, the quality of the weld seams is reliable. For example, in the case of longitudinally welded steel pipes produced by high-frequency resistance welding, the strength at the weld seams can be close to or even equal to that of the steel pipe body, ensuring the safety and stability of the pipelines during the operation process.
Good Appearance Quality: The weld seams are in a straight line, making the appearance of the steel pipes relatively regular. In some occasions where certain requirements for appearance are put forward, such as pipelines used for building decoration and pipeline arrangements in exhibition halls, longitudinally welded steel pipes have more advantages.
