When exposed to fire, the intumescent steel – structure fire – resistant coating produced by our company sees the foaming components in its coating film decompose upon heating. These components expand and thicken to form a dense and uniform fire – proof and heat – insulating protective layer. An endothermic decomposition reaction occurs, preventing heat transfer, delaying the temperature rise of the steel structure, and significantly increasing the fire – resistant time of the steel structure.
This product is a steel – structure fire – resistant coating with excellent intumescent and heat – insulating properties when exposed to fire, as well as good decorative properties. It can be adjusted into various colors according to user requirements. The intumescent steel – structure fire – resistant coating is especially characterized by strong adhesion, good fire – resistant performance, good decoration, and convenient construction. It can be widely applied to the fire protection of steel – structure buildings for various purposes, such as industrial and civil steel – structure factories, gymnasiums, exhibition halls, etc.

Basic Properties
- Fire – resistant Performance: This coating has passed the inspection by the “National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Fire – resistant Building Materials”. Depending on different requirements, the fire – resistant time of this coating can meet 1.0h, 1.5h, 2.0h, and 2.5h respectively.
- Physical and Chemical Properties: This product complies with the requirements of the GB14907 – 2018 standard.
Construction Methods
- The construction of the fire – resistant coating should be carried out after the steel – structure project has passed the acceptance inspection, the key installations connected to the steel structure are completed, the roofing waterproofing project is finished, before interior decoration, and under the condition that it will not be damaged by subsequent projects.
- Before the construction of the fire – resistant coating, the dust, oil stains, debris, etc. on the surface of the steel structure should be cleaned thoroughly, and rust – removal treatment should be carried out. Apply an anti – rust primer and ensure that it does not react chemically with the oil – based fire – resistant coating. Only after the anti – rust paint is completely dry can the construction of the fire – resistant coating be carried out. During construction, shield and protect the equipment and other components that do not need fire protection.
- Before use, the coating should be stirred thoroughly. When the coating is slightly thick, it can be directly diluted with water. The dilution degree should be such that it is convenient for spraying without flowing. The spraying thickness per pass is 1.0 – 1.5mm.
- For construction tools, it is advisable to use an air pump with a small spray gun, and the air pressure is 0.4 – 0.6MPa.
- The coated surface after construction should be protected from water, exposure to the sun, pollution, and mechanical damage. If there is any damage, it needs to be repaired.
- The ventilation on – site should be good during the construction process.
- The curing period for physical and chemical properties is 10 days, and the curing period for fire – resistant performance is 45 days.
Precautions
- This fire – resistant coating cannot be mixed with other coatings or paints during use.
- The constructed components should avoid being rained on. The unused coating during construction should be stored in a sealed manner.
Transportation and Storage
The storage temperature is 5 – 40℃, and the storage period is 12 months. During storage and transportation, prevent it from being rained on, exposed to the sun, frozen, impacted, under heavy pressure, or inverted.
