Product Description
The SMT – S/(SJS – 05) Decorative Fire – resistant Coating is a water – based decorative fire – resistant coating. Tested according to the standard GB12441 – 2018 “Decorative Fire – resistant Coatings”, it has qualified physical and chemical properties and a Class 1 fire – resistant performance. It integrates fire – resistance and decoration. When the coating is exposed to fire, it will rapidly foam and expand, forming a dense protective layer on the surface of the substrate, thus achieving the fire – protection function for the substrate. In normal times, it also has a good decorative effect.
Warning
This product is prohibited from being used with added water. Adding water will reduce the bonding strength, water – resistance, and fire – resistant performance.
Scope of Application
It can be applied to the fire – proof treatment of the surfaces of various woods, fiberboards, paperboards and their products in buildings, ventilation ducts, and concrete walls.
Construction Technology
- The surface of the substrate to be painted should be in a naturally dry state, clean, free of dust and oil stains. Sanding treatment is necessary if required.
- Before painting, the coating must be stirred evenly. Spraying, brushing, or rolling can be used to avoid affecting the fire – resistant performance of the coating.
- The dosage per square meter should be no less than 0.5 kg. Applying 2 – 3 coats can meet the Class 1 fire – proof requirements.
- The construction should be carried out in an environment with good ventilation. The construction environment is preferably above 5℃. When there is frost on the surface of the substrate, construction is not advisable.
- During the construction process, avoid contact with open flames before the coating is completely dry.
- The construction should be carried out indoors. If outdoors, avoid rain.
Transportation and Storage
